Oliver Kirkland seriously despises his freckles. He thinks they are unattractive and annoying, so he often covers them with foundation. However, one morning when he got out of the shower, he didn't cover his freckles right away.

He stepped out of the shower and dried himself off, looking in the mirror and frowning. He turned away and smiled, not dwelling on the image and walked into his room. He put on a blue shirt with a pink vest and some khaki pants before skipping out to his living room.

  What he saw surprised him.

You were sitting cutely on his couch, apparently waiting for him to come out. You're his girlfriend, (Name) (Last Name). You sat there with your (h/c) hair nicely done, and your (e/c) eyes sparkling when Oliver came out into the room.

"Hey Ollie!" you greeted happily with a smile.

Oliver let out a small, high pitched scream and his hands flew to cover his cheeks, "H-Hello poppet." he greeted with his British accent that made you squeal. "W-What brings you here?"

You shifted on the couch so your feet were on the floor and your hands were still gripping the seat, "I just came to see if you wanted to do something, but you were in the shower so I didn't bother you."

Some people might find a gesture like this creepy, or awkward, but it actually happens often. Oliver will sometimes go to your house and make breakfast before you even wake up; he is a wonderful cook. Vise versa, often you'll go over to Oliver's house, though normally he is awake and ready for the day long before you get there.

"Oh," Oliver said, still covering his cheeks and turned off to the side. "What did you have in mind?"

You noticed the blue eyed boy's suspicious actions and shrugged, "I wasn't entirely sure, just as long as I got to spend it with you... Ollie what are you doing?"

"What ever could you mean?" he replied.

You stood up and walked over to your boyfriend, "Ollie look at me, is something wrong?"

Oliver shook his strawberry blond head, "Nothing's wrong love."

  "Look at me," you prodded.

Oliver shook his head again and you stepped in front of him, grabbing his hands before he could react and held them to his chest. The british boy, turned his face and you pouted.

"Ollie-" you caught a glimpse of his freckles and tipped your head. "Oliver Kirkland look at me." you said in a more stern voice.

Surprised by your firm tone, Oliver shyly turned, and you looked at all the little orange freckles that dotted his face. Behind them, his face began to turn red and he shifted his gaze to the floor.

"I didn't know you had freckles," was all you said as you examined Oliver's face. "Do you... cover them?"

Oliver was afraid you would think of his freckles the same way he did, but he was surprised, again, by your tone of voice, which was softer now. He lifted his blue eyes to meet your (e/c) ones.

"Yes, I cover them," Oliver admitted shyly.

"Why?" you asked, running a thumb over his cheek, still holding onto his hand.

Oliver shook his head and looked back down, "They're unattractive."

You were shocked by your boyfriend's lack of confidence. He's the one who bakes cupcakes and wears bright pink clothing all the time, and he's insecure about some freckles? Honestly, you thought they looked absolutely adorable on him, even with his sad pouty face.

"No they're not," you said to him.

Oliver glanced back at you, "Really?"

"Oh come on, they're adorable. You don't need to cover them," you assured him.

The strawberry blond blinked several times, "I don't? You really think they're cute?"

"I mean, you were cute before, but these are simply," you smiled widely. "I can't even think of a different word besides utterly adorable."

Oliver blushed deeply and pressed his lips to yours quickly, "Thanks."

"So you're not going to cover them anymore?" you asked, smiling after he kissed you.

Ollie shook his head, "Not if you don't want me to."

"Then don't. I love you Ollie," you said, kissing his cheek.

"I love you too," Oliver replied.

And he never covered his freckles again.
Aw. Poor Ollie.
This is one of those things I wrote over the summer and it's the last one that I have that I actually finished while on break... that's disappointing. Welp, I have ideas for other stories, I just haven't gotten around to writing them yet...
I don't have much else to say except that this is just a little short fluff drabble... thing...
Enjoy~ :icon2penglandcatplz: D'aww.

Hetalia doesn't belong to me
The story does~

*Has strawberry blond hair, blue eyes, (well my eye color is complicated but they're kinda blue I guess) and freckles*
OLLIE, NO.
Don't cover them up!
Freckles are beautiful!
Besides, freckles show how many souls a redhead has stolen.
