“Yao can you cover the kitchen duty?” you sighed as you tried to set up the surprise party for your best friend and crush.
Yao nodded but paused before he walked to the kitchen, “Are you sure this is a good idea? You know Kiku doesn’t like big parties.”
You shrugged, “I know. But I want to do something special today.”
Yao smiled slowly, “You want to confess your love for him, don’t you, aru~”
Your face turned red, “I- I might. Anyway, this needs to be perfect. You are the only one who can make anything close to what Kiku might like since you are his brother.”
The party was being held at Kiku’s house. Yao sent him out to get some groceries and once he left, you and a few of the other countries began making preparations for a surprise party. You were afraid of how Kiku was going to react, would he walk away, or faint? You sighed, I hope this is going to work!
You helped Ludwig hang some japanese lanterns from the roof and made sure Feliciano wasn’t going to pass out from blowing up too many balloons. You only told him to blow up a few, but he ended up blowing up the entire bag.
“________!” you heard a call from Leon, “Kiku is, like, almost home.”
“Thanks Leon!” you called back, “OKAY! Lets get this wrapped up and turn off the lights!”
You and the others quickly picked up all the trash and decorations that were littered around the floor. The room wasn’t over decorated, it looked slightly like a traditional japanese room with just a touch of festivity. The only problem was the abundance of balloons. You ushered some into the other rooms before you hid yourself by the door and turned off the lights. The others hid in various different spots around the living room as well. You saw the headlights of a car pull into the driveway and your heart started to beat a thousand miles per hour.
The door handle jiggled and you sucked in a deep breath. The door opened and the figure turned on the light.
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY!” you called happily. Kiku’s eyes widened from the surprise and he almost dropped the bag of groceries he was carrying.
“Ah-” he started saying something quickly in japanese and your face turned red. His face looked really flustered and you couldn’t understand a word he was saying.
You smiled and walked up to him, “Happy Birthday, Kiku!” you said softer than before.
Kiku looked around, “Arigato, ______-san, but you really didn’t need to do all this.”
“I know,” you admitted, “But I wanted to make your birthday special!”
Kiku smiled slightly as the others rushed up to wish him a happy birthday. Yao turned to you and winked. Your blood ran cold, you didn’t know how you were going to confess to him at all!
After a few minutes you all got some food from the kitchen. Yao prepared a special Japanese dish, something called…. nikujaga? It was interesting that’s for sure. You stuffed another forkful in your mouth as Kiku was walking up to you.
“Hello,” he greeted and you almost choked trying to swallow your food and reply to him.
“Hey,” you replied your mouth still had a little bit of food in it so you covered it with your hand. Kiku tried not to laugh at you and handed you a napkin instead. “Thank you,” you chuckled, “You always have everything ready. I wish I could be as organized as you.”
Kiku turned away to hide his blush, “You are organized. You set up this whole party afterall.”
You shrugged, “I had help.”
“Everyone needs a little help sometimes _____-san,” his brown eyes met your (e/c) ones and you looked away.
“So, do you like it? The party, I mean,” you asked quickly.
“Hai,” he answered, “I love it, but you didn’t need to do it all for me.”
“Nonsense, you only deserve the best,” you laughed softly.
“This is painful to watch, aru,” you heard from behind you before your back was pushed and you fell toward Kiku. You moved your hand off to the side so you wouldn’t spill your food on him. You fell and your lips touched ever so slightly. Your heart beat faster and faster until you thought it was going to burst from your chest. You felt your face heating up in a blush and noticed Kiku’s was just as red.
You tried to back up, muttering an apology about being in his personal space before he grabbed your arm and held you where you were. Hesitantly, he pressed his lips to yours and pulled you closer to him. Yao clapped behind you and the other joined in. Taiwan squealed happily and Im Yong Soo whistled.
Kiku pulled back, “Daisuki, ______,” he said slowly as if you might reject him.
“I love you too, Kiku,” you said happily and hugged him. You felt him stiffen up before he slowly relaxed and hugged you back.
It was the best birthday he has ever had.

Tea was your one cure-all. No matter what was wrong with you, be it a headache, a stomachache, or even just a plain bad mood, tea always put you right back on your feet.
And god could you use some right now.
You groaned and buried your head in your hands as Alfred started shouting again in his “hero voice” about some global warming plan he’d come up with. You loved your friend, you really did, but today was just not your day; and having to listen to him shout wasn’t what you needed. Your head already felt like it was about to split in two, and listening to Alfred’s voice was never something that someone with a m

South Italy, commonly known as Romano or to very limited people, Lovino Vargas. Standing there, both of your faces resembled the tomatoes he loved. You slowly walked forward and ended up facing him. Looking into his olive green eyes, they brought you back to the first time you realized your crush on the Italian.
~Flashback~
You were staying with the Italy brothers for a few weeks, as your boss gave you some vacation time. You had known them since chibi years, and were extremely close friends. Yet, unlike most people, you favoured the older Southern over his younger twin, probably because you had a sl

"Hey, are you okay?"
You blinked open your eyes at the sound of a soft voice right next to you. To your side was a young boy who seemed about your age, with sleek black hair and smooth brown eyes, looking at you with a vaguely worried expression. What had you been doing again? You remembered going outside earlier, and laying underneath a nice tree you'd found in an area just past the park so that you could watch the clouds. You must've fallen asleep after a while. You rubbed the sleep from your eyes for a moment, admiring the small ring on your finger you wore everyday that your parents had given you for a present a few years back when you'd
